FAQ
Q: Is This Really Free?
A: Yes, we realize you don’t have a lot of extra money laying around to pay random people. We love music so we do this at no charge. We would also never dream of charging fans for reading reviews and listening to streaming music!
Q: So Seriously, this is free?
A: Yup, the only thing you will have to pay for is the envelope and stamp to send us your album.
Q: What do you do with the digital album I sent you?
A: After we have finished listening to your album and reviewing it we delete it. We do not share your music with anyone, unless you specifically give us permission. We like to stream and give away music so the fans can get a taste of it, but we will always ask for your permission first.
Q: If you don’t like my album are you going to trash it?
A: We are not here to shatter anyones dreams here, if we don’t like it we won’t review it.
Q: Do people in South Dakota grow cows? Do you guys even have power?
A: No on the cows and somewhat on the power, we are the worlds largest consumer of gerbils and running wheels. It takes roughly 6 gerbils running constantly to power this website. In all seriousness we believe that good music comes from all corners of the globe, even South Dakota! Our staff hails from all corners of the US and Canada, so we are indeed culturally literate.
Q: What is in the future for Emurg? Are you guys planning on expanding or adding new features?
We are currently building a new website from the ground up. The new Emurg will be more customizable and will feature more genres. We are currently working with groups to try and accommodate their needs for band management. We are determined to make Emurg a one stop shop for bands to promote their album, organize tours, promote themselves to the media, and other band management functions. Any band interested in providing input or being a part of Emurg’s band management beta should feel free to contact us.
