Emurg is a new experiment in music networking, and as such we didn’t expect it to grow as fast as it has. As a result, we are in desperate need of help from members of the new music community that possess the skills and motivation that are required to turn this experiment into a successful website for both fans and bands.
Our priority right now is web design. The emurg staff are intelligent and computer saavy, but we do not have web development experience beyond what you see on our site. We have a myriad of ideas that we believe will grow the website and create exposure for new bands but we lack the programming capability to implement these ideas. If you are a skilled web designer looking for a side project please contact us and we can discuss your interests and our goals. Although we are pre-revenue, we believe that hard work from sharp staff will eventually lead to profits. For this reason we are willing to offer a percent share in emurg with a hard working web designer that is willing to stick with us long term. We are always looking for reviewers. Our goals are to expand emurg to any genre that has a vibrant fan base. If you would like to be a reviewer for emurg, simply fill out the contact form. Once we are in contact we will provide you with an album that is within a genre of your choice. Once you review it, we’ll take a look at it and see if it meets our standards. We look for the following things in our reviews: reasonable length (500+ words), coherent sentences/correct grammar, musical analysis, and a personal flavor that distinguishes you as a writer (humor, personal experiences, etc.).
