So you walk into one of those shitty little diners that has a smoky blue fog in it. You sit down at the bar and order a steaming hot cup of raw emotion. For some reason you end up getting into a fight with the drunk beside you and he jams that cup into your ear. Thats what listening to this album is like. Pure, unadulterated hard rock poured directly into your earhole. And let me tell you, its probably the best thing you can put in there right now.

When I read the name Pistol Day Parade im not gonna lie, I was expecting some sort of crappy emo band, I thought about breaking out my razor blades before I hit the play button. Damn was I wrong, these guys are pretty much phenomenal. The album opens with the gritty dark lyrics “You bend me, and break me till i lose my mind and im crazy, you beat me, you rape me, who’s in control that can save me” As soon as I heard this open the song “Save Me” I knew that I was going to thoroughly enjoy this album. The lead singer Fullers’ vocals really make this band a standout, they have a raw and explosive feel to them, and im really digging it.
The first three songs on this EP are definitely standouts, I would expect to hear any of these 3 blaring over my Sirius radio here soon. After the first three songs are by and your neck is sore from banging your head you come to the song “Better” now im not saying its a bad song but its definitely a change of pace from the beginning of the album, it almost has a ballad type feel to it compared to the rest of the album having a balls out lets rock your face off feel.
All in all I am very pleased with this album and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a straight up rock album.

Hey,
I’ve seen these guys rock out in Taylor under a cover name. They are the BEST Detroit band I’ve seen or heard in a long time. Each and everyone of them has a talent all their own. I loved them the first time I saw them and they just kept getting better and better. Now they do a bunch of cover songs locally and I’ll tell you what – they put their hearts and souls into every song. Screaming kiss ass!!! Truly hope they make it as I’ve seen other great Detroit bands not make it. GO PDP. You guys are awesome!
