Review: The Veer Union – EP

If you have ever heard of these guys you may be saying, Oh Snap!! A Canadian band on here??? But rest assured, these guys wouldn’t be on here unless they were good. The Veer Union is a 5 piece modern rock band that started in Canada (I couldn’t find their current city)

The 6 track EP these guys put out is one of the most satisfying albums I have listened to in quite a while. They start out with the awesome “Seasons” which is their current single.  Tight vocals and great guitar playing make this song that gem of this album. “Over Me” is a catchy rock song with a good chorus and the same tight vocals and guitar work of the previous song.  “Falling Apart” slows things down for a  more personal song, very catchy chorus and overall a very good song. “Another World Away” is another straight up rock song with some awesome vocals. “Wish You Well” is yet another good song, this song has some awesome sweeping choruses that really stand out. “Hide The Truth” finishes out this EP, its quite different from the rest of the album, its very serene and shows a good amount of restraint, its one of those songs that you think is going to pick up at any moment and take you off into another direction.

While you read this review, im sure your going to say, What the fuck kind of review is this???  Well, I don’t really know what to say, this album simply blew me away and im not the kind of guy that’s going to write about how this song has hauntingly beautiful lyrics and this one had some sort of inter-dimensional crazy vocals. Im just going to tell you straight up that this EP is awesome. I am really pumped for them to release their new album on 4/21.
